The cryolipolysis mechanism involves freezing the inside of fat cells (adipocytes) that causes the inside liquid of cells (cytoplasm) to crystallize. When the treated area is warmed (thawed), these crystals puncture the cell membranes of the fat cells, thus killing these cells. Once these fat cells are killed, they release fatty acids which are removed (metabolized) by the body.
Over time as the treated fat cells shrink and die, your body naturally metabolizes them, eliminating these dead cells, and leaving a more sculpted you.
